Welcome to the Institutional Advancement Directorate (InAD) of the University of Ghana.
It is with deep honour and commitment that I assume the role of Acting Director for Institutional Advancement. At this pivotal moment in the life of our University, the need for a more agile, resourceful, and outward-facing institution has never been more pressing. The InAD has been strategically established to promote engagement and partnerships, key to realizing the University's aspiration to become a globally impactful institution, driven by transformative student experiences, impactful research, and strong institutional capacity, as outlined in the 2024–2029 Strategic Plan.
The Directorate is designed to function as a coordinating and enabling platform, working across units to strengthen structures, systems, partnerships, and human capabilities. Our mandate is clear: to position the University of Ghana as a vibrant, competitive, and connected institution by facilitating partnerships, mobilizing resources and providing institutional support for capacity development.
My vision is that InAD will become the University's engine for institutional visibility, agility, and global engagement. To achieve this, we will operationalize six specialized teams including Product Development and Financing, Project Implementation, Alumni Development, Institutional Development, Marketing and Communications, with cross-cutting administrative and reporting support. These teams will work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful value and measurable impact.
In alignment with the University’s core values—integrity, respect, commitment, and loyalty, we will aim to strengthen our connection with our alumni, mobilize sustainable resources, and support our academic and administrative units to innovate, grow, and thrive. Our efforts will be anchored on accountability, partnership, and a deep commitment to people and performance.
As we begin this journey, I invite all members of the University community, our alumni, friends, partners, and donors to walk with us. Together, we can build an institution that is not only globally respected but also locally relevant.
