The Institutional Advancement Directorate (InAD) has an overarching responsibility of advancing the interest of the University, particularly raising the needed financial resources to support the mission of the University. Over the years, efforts have been made to strengthen the activities of the InAD but there is much more to be done to effectively position its activities to fully play its role. The InAD has enormous potential, requiring a blend of skills, understanding, and a deep appreciation of the strategies to be employed in contributing to the desired future of the University.

 

As Director, my activities are anchored on five strategic themes. These themes are to: (1) strengthen institutional structures within the InAD and across different units of the University; (2) grow and build an effective alumni base; (3) raise funds to support UG’s developmental projects; (4) enhance UG’s external influence; and (5) execute and manage developmental projects in the University.
