About
Joanna Korlekwor Omaboe is an experienced administrator with a considerable number of years of experience in the administration of Higher Education. She is a Chartered Professional Administrator and a member of the Institute of Directors-Ghana. She is an integral member of the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat as well as the Institutional Advancement Directorate.
As Coordinator of Special Projects and Programmes at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, her schedule covers speech writing and having oversight responsibility for the Vice-Chancellor’s flagship projects, including the VC’s Digitalization Initiatives. She also works closely with the University’s Strategy Implementation Committee. Joanna has an additional responsibility serving as Lead, Institutional Development Unit, Institutional Advancement Directorate. In this role, she leads a team dedicated to enhancing the agility and efficiency of University units by addressing gaps in structures, systems, processes, skills, and competencies. She has experience serving on Boards and Committees within and outside the University of Ghana.
Her areas of expertise include corporate communication, public relations, projects and events management, and public administration and fundraising. Joanna believes in empowering young people and is passionate about human development. She has mentored many young women and men over the past 10 years.
