About the Project
Over a three-year period, the University of Ghana (UG), through the Institutional Advancement Directorate
(InAD), successfully implemented the Seventh Disbursement Linked Indicator (DLI 7) milestones under the
World Bank ACE Impact Project. The implementation of the ten (10) milestones under this project
strengthened existing university systems and delivered significant improvements in areas such as
accreditation readiness, regionalisation strategy, digital infrastructure, alumni expansion, and teachinglearning facilities. The University achieved all ten (10) DLI 7 targets ahead of schedule, unlocking $1,025,000
in funding. Key focus areas included:
- Strengthening InAD and its fundraising, alumni engagement, and marketing capacity
- Supporting the operationalisation of the Logistics Directorate
- Upgrading lecture rooms with modern pedagogical technology
- Expanding campus-wide internet connectivity
- Deploying teaching and learning support systems
- Advancing international institutional accreditation
- Developing UG’s institutional regionalisation strategy
