Richard is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience spanning finance, risk management, sales and marketing, product development, and international development. He currently leads the Project Development and Financing Unit, leveraging his extensive expertise to deliver impactful results.
He holds an MSc in Development Finance and a BSc in Finance, complemented by professional certifications in Project Management, Marketing, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). This unique blend of academic rigour and practical skills enables Richard to manage complex projects end-to-end—from conception and compliance to financial execution.
- International Development & Projects: Richard has played pivotal roles in major global initiatives such as the MasterCard Foundation Project, SNV, GCAP, GSDF, and USAID Feed-the-Future, focusing on project execution, financial modelling, and strategic implementation within agribusiness and development sectors.
- Finance & Capital Markets: With deep expertise in capital markets, Richard has advised on investment instruments, regulatory compliance, and product development. His finance experience spans the extractive industry (mining) and advanced agribusiness financing.
- Risk Management & Business Development: He brings extensive knowledge in risk underwriting, product and market development, and sales/marketing within insurance and broader financial services.
- Private Sector & Entrepreneurship Development: Richard has contributed to SME growth through training and capacity-building programs under the Ghana Enterprise Agency’s Growth and Opportunity Programme.
